Hugh and I have been in Spring cleaning mode, a little early I guess. We've cleaned out several closets, cleaned up the basement a good bit, and cleaned out and reorganized some cabinets. We're getting ready to do some touch up work on the house as well. I'm hoping this includes finishing touches on our bedroom redo. Hugh hasn't been happy with our transition to a king sized bed from last summer. His mind thought it meant a king sized bed. In reality it meant all new furniture, bedding and all other decor as well. I'm trying to talk him into a fresh coat of paint to brighten the room as well. Houston will be moving to "big boy" furniture by this summer as well. Lots in the works!
The girls gave Upward Cheerleading a try. It consumed our Saturdays for two months and the girls really didn't enjoy it. I think it was mainly because with cheering for basketball, they sat on the sidelines to cheer and that wasn't exciting enough for them. They were great and cute as can be.
They got to perform for the crowd during "half time" and the girls were definitely more excited about that. They have decided they want to take ballet next year and any other activity is to be determined. No cheer and no soccer.
Houston is loving his school and growing up so much! His little personality is hilarious and he knows it. He still can't say "th" and his little voice is the sweetest sound you will ever hear. He is very interested in knowing his letters and we work with flash cards a good bit. He also thinks every word that starts with "H" is Houston. He went to the dentist for the first time today and acted 23 instead of 3. I was very proud of him. Clean teeth and no problems. I have photos and will post when I get them on the computer.
